MEASUREMENT GUIDE

HOW TO CHOOSE THE PERFECT SIZE FOR YOUR JEWELRY?

To choose the size of a new piece of jewelry, you can remove and measure the piece you already have or measure directly while wearing it . Let's see how!

BARS

FROM WHERE TO WHERE TO MEASURE?

Place the jewelry on a flat surface. Using a ruler, measure the length from the plate/bar to the end piece , excluding the thread. For threadless jewelry, remove the end piece and measure the bar as shown.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY JEWELRY?

You can also measure the jewel while wearing it by following simple steps and remembering to keep the ruler parallel to the bar.

Step 1: Gently push the jewelry so that the bar protrudes as much as possible on the back.

Step 2: Using a ruler, measure from the barb's insertion into the skin to the end of the barb (excluding the plate). You can do this for all ear holes, both top and bottom.

BALANCE

FROM WHERE TO WHERE TO MEASURE?

Follow the same rules for measuring the bars indicated above.

Note

Measure the segment from terminal to terminal , excluding the thread.

Same methodology for the eyebrow and navel bananas : even if the body of the jewel is curved, we must measure the segment that goes from terminal to terminal or from ball to ball.

BANANA

FROM WHERE TO WHERE TO MEASURE?

Follow the same rules for measuring the bars indicated above even if the jewel in this case is curved.

Tips for belly button piercings: To measure your belly button piercing, get help . Lie on your back, taking care not to bend your belly too much or pull it too hard.

If you measure your hole in the wrong position (hunching your back or slightly bending your stomach) you may find a slightly smaller or slightly larger measurement.

Place the jewel on a flat surface.

Using a ruler, measure the internal segment as shown in the figure. Remember to exclude the thickness of the jewel itself from the measurement.

ADVICE FOR YOU

HOW TO KEEP THE RULER IN THE CORRECT POSITION?

Hold the ruler parallel (mostly for lobes) or perpendicular (for all other piercings, e.g. helix, rook, etc.) to your body.

If you hold the ruler crooked, you'll get the wrong measurement and may end up with a piercing that's too loose or too tight.

Is a tight or drooping effect better?
It depends entirely on your personal taste.

For a snug effect (1) choose a jewel of the exact measurement taken with the ruler (e.g. 10mm exact measurement)

For a dangling effect (2) choose a jewel 1-2mm larger than the exact measurement (e.g. 10mm exact measurement + 2mm = 12mm)

ARE YOU IN DOUBT BETWEEN TWO SIZES?

We recommend getting both and adding an extra bar to your order. You can order it at a discount directly during checkout and customize it on the jewelry page.
